and a Surprise for Susan

On Sunday, May 18th, Amy took top honors at this year's playoffs and finals for the fourth year in a row! Our competitive champion won all her games by besting newcomer Carol in the semis (3-0) and Susan in the finals (3-0). 

An exciting and tension filled semifinals match between Sandy and Susan had all the spectators hanging on their seats! Susan was able to pull it out in game 5. 

Congratulations to our 2013-14 league winners and their fantastic competitive play: Amy (1st Place), Susan (2nd Place), and Sandy (3rd Place).

Amy goes unchallenged at our playoffs and finals which took place on Sunday, June 23rd. Our champion won all her games by besting Lisa in the semis (3-0) and Renae in the finals (3-0). Kudos to our 2012-13 league winners and their wonderful playing: Amy (1st Place), Renae (2nd Place), and Sandy (3rd Place).

This season, our championship contenders exhibited intense, fierce, and exciting play! In Division One, first place went to Diane, followed by Amy and Sandy. In Division Two, the top dog was Ella, followed by Elaine and Renee.

2009 SEASON FINALE

Kudos to Maria and Lisa, winners of Division One and Two, respectively. This afternoon Maria played against Sandy for the 1st place prize, while Lisa and Ella duked it out in Division Two. After the trophy ceremony, we enjoyed our annual season ending dinner party at nearby Parigot restaurant on Grand Street.
